Funny 70th Birthday Hand Lettered Ceramic Coffee Mug

Ten in dog years, which is the kind way to say seventy

Hand-lettered type, stacked tight and set slightly off-kilter, black on plain white ceramic. The maths is the joke and nobody has to say the number out loud - which is most of what you want from a 70th birthday gift. The lettering is drawn rather than typeset, so it reads warmer than a bold slogan.

A 70th birthday gift for him or her that is not a card

Presents for someone turning seventy tend to split into solemn keepsakes and over-the-hill gags that stop being funny by lunchtime. This one sits between the two. It never mentions age or decline, and the mug is still in the cupboard rotation long after the party is cleared up.

Especially good for the dog person

The line lands hardest with someone who has always had a dog and has done this calculation out loud about their own. A natural gift for grandpa, a gift for grandma, a retirement present, or the thing you bring to a family dinner when a card will not carry it.

Two lettering styles, two mug finishes

This is the hand-lettered design on a plain white mug. The same joke also comes in a bolder version with a paw print in place of the zero, and both come with a black accent handle if you want more contrast. 11 oz is the standard coffee size; 15 oz gives the lettering more room.

Durable white ceramic

Sturdy white ceramic with a glossy finish, so the print stays crisp and the colours stay bright.

C-shaped handle

An easy-grip handle that sits comfortably in the hand, mug after mug.

Dye sublimation print

The design is fused into the coating rather than printed on top, so it will not peel or fade with washing.

Lead and BPA-free

Safe for daily use with hot and cold drinks.

Two sizes: 11oz (0.33 l) and 15oz (0.44 l). All measurements refer to the product itself.
