What to put on a personalized mug
The best personalized mugs are specific. A name is fine; a name plus something only two people would understand is far better. Inside jokes, a nickname nobody else uses, the date of a particular day, the name of a pet, a line from a voice note — these are what turn a mug into an object someone keeps for a decade. Generic sentiment printed in a script font is the version that ends up in the cupboard.
Keep the text short. A mug is read from a metre away in a kitchen, usually before anyone has had coffee. One line works, two lines can work, a paragraph never does. If you want more, put a short line on the front and the longer message where the drinker will see it — near the handle or inside the rim, depending on the mug.
Personalized mugs also work well as a set that grows. A mug per family member, added to over the years; matching mugs for a couple with the date they met; a mug for each new starter in a small team. No. Designs are heat-cured into the coating rather than applied as a sticker, so they survive regular dishwasher cycles. A normal wash cycle keeps colors brightest over the years.
Can I personalize both sides of the mug?
Yes. You can put a name on one side and a message on the other, or wrap a single design around the full body. Left-handed drinkers appreciate a design on both sides.
Is there a minimum order for personalized mugs?
No. You can order a single mug. For a set with different names, add each mug separately and enter its own text.
