Backyard Birds Ceramic Coffee Mug

A field guide that holds your coffee

North American backyard birds, each one named and painted in soft watercolour, wrap the whole way around. Cardinal, Great Blue Heron, Barn Owl, Northern Flicker, Carolina Wren, Mourning Dove, Chickadee - the same line-up you would tick off through a kitchen window on a slow morning.

The white version, where the birds are the only colour

Plain white ceramic with a white handle, so nothing competes with the illustration. It reads as a nature print from across the room and as an identification chart up close, and it disappears politely into any kitchen. It is also the cheaper of the two versions.

A bird watching gift that gets used

Birdwatching gifts are genuinely hard - serious birders already own the binoculars and the field guide. A bird mug sidesteps that, because it gets used daily rather than shelved. It works for a birthday, a retirement, a teacher, a grandparent, or the friend who sends you a photo of every hawk they spot.

Which size

11 oz is the standard coffee mug. 15 oz gives the chart more room and suits anyone who drinks a bigger cup or uses the same mug for tea.

Durable white ceramic

Sturdy white ceramic with a glossy finish, so the print stays crisp and the colours stay bright.

C-shaped handle

An easy-grip handle that sits comfortably in the hand, mug after mug.

Dye sublimation print

The design is fused into the coating rather than printed on top, so it will not peel or fade with washing.

Lead and BPA-free

Safe for daily use with hot and cold drinks.

Two sizes: 11oz (0.33 l) and 15oz (0.44 l). All measurements refer to the product itself.
